Performance
Grace Fay Brooks performed in her first show, The Sound of Music (Marta) at the New London Barn Playhouse at age 6, and never looked back! She spent her childhood and young adulthood performing in school plays and musicals, as well as dance recitals and winter shows with her childhood dance studio, Kearsarge Conservatory of the Performing Arts (KCPA).
They went to college for Acting, Psychology, Dance, and Standardized Patient Training, and spent most of their time in rehearsals, shows; marketing and video taping the performances she wasn’t directly a part of. After graduating, they moved to Chicago after a year of pandemic-related delays, and has continued to work and perform in the Chicago theater scene since 2021.

“Set in an old house, a young witch wanna-be Amelia, played by with sweetness and smarts by Grace Fay Brooks, moves in with three elders to improve her craft.”
She started teaching dance and developing an eye for choreography in high school, and continued to create dance pieces throughout college and beyond. Her senior project cumulated in a performance of four of her own choreographed dances in front of her entire high school student body and staff. During college, her choreography was showcased in Contemporary Dance Ensemble Performances. After graduating, they worked for a year as the Lebanon High School Wet Paint Player’s Assistant Director and Choreographer, which ended in a filmed Cabaret performance of multiple choreographed pieces. They have experience with young children, young adults, and adults with a wide variety of experience and abilities.
Grace worked as a Team Advisor with the National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC) Acting Intensive for 3 years, in which time she worked her way up to the role of Head Team Advisor. During those 3 years, she developed and taught multiple workshops on dance for musical theater, improvisational movement, and Viewpoints technique.
They hope to continue developing their own artistry throughout their future years in the city, and continues to learn and grow as an artist, performer, and human.
